Jason Phillips has 18 years experience in feature films, music videos and commercials in all capacities, including working on projects with the Coen brothers, Gore Verbinski, Sam Bayer, Tarsem Singh, Jake Scott, Mark Romanek, Breck Eisner, Tony Kaye, Joe Pytka and David Fincher.
He’s directed music videos, not least of which, the MTV and YouTube cult-favorite “Black Hole Sun” for "The Moog Cookbook", which garnered much attention, including a feature in Billboard Magazine.
He produced and co-wrote the skate-film "Las Nueve Vidas de Paco: The Chocolate Movie" with director Spike Jonze.
He’s directed a myriad of short films, including the webisodic he wrote, produced and directed, entitled “God Bless Americo”, which won Best Series of 2006 on LuLu TV and got a write-up in the New York Times On-Line. The 30 minute short film he directed, entitled “Falling Words”, won top prize in both the Canadian International Film Festival and The British Short Film Festival.
He co-produced, co-wrote and directed the feature film Left-Overs that was screened at “Troma-dance” during the Sundance Film festival, and the "Cannes You Dig It" film festival in France, and it was at the Cannes Film Festival where the film was picked up for theatrical distribution.
